Accepting that the strength of your love is dwindling can be the most challenging task when you are in a serious relationship. Even when this relationship starts ceasing your happiness, you take a long time before ultimately ending it. But that’s completely fine because it is natural for human beings to stay in an environment that they are familiar with as compared to leaving it for a new one.
Today I am going to discuss some signs which clearly indicate that you and your partner aren’t connected anymore and it’s time for you to move on.
1. MORE TEXT; LESSER CALLS
All of a sudden, those late-night long conversations have come to a halt. You and your partner aren’t communicating much. You both don’t feel the necessity of sharing things. Forget about a day; sometimes you don’t talk to each other even for a week. A few texts and that too, a few times a week, fill up the basic requirements.
2. TRUST DEFICIT
Trust is undoubtedly the pillar of any relationship. But all of a sudden you have stopped trusting your partner; the thoughts of your partner cheating on you have become recurrent. Apart from that, you have stopped trusting what he tells you. Every time he says he’s busy at work, you think twice before believing him.
3. VIRTUAL MEETINGS
Whenever you are meeting your partner, you find your five-inch mobile screen a better source for interaction and entertainment. Both of you meet but spend the majority of time being busy in your phones, avoiding things a normal couple will socially do.
4. PET PEEVES ALERT
What was okay earlier has become intolerable now. For example, you always thought his snoring was something you’ll be able to deal with for the rest of your life, but here you are losing your mind and sleep, every time he snores. You both find yourselves mad at each other more frequently, even for petty things. You have started finding him irresponsible and unfair towards a lot of things.
5. FUTURE PLANS SCOFF
In almost every healthy relationship, the chances of you and your partner discussing the prospect are very high. There was a time when you saw a future with him. But right now, the thought of him meeting with your parent’s sounds exasperating and uncomfortable. Not only this, you find single people around you happier now.
6. FORGET SEX, EVEN KISS IS NOT TURNING YOU ON
There is a lack of intimacy between you and your partner. Both of you avoid any physical aspect of your relationship since you don’t feel that connection anymore. Even if you are getting intimate, it’s without any emotions and just for physical needs.
7. MORE HAPPY WITH OTHERS
You find it difficult to be in each other’s company, and thus you have started making plans which don’t include him. You go out without him and happen to enjoy a lot. Your subconscious mind has already cut him out.
8. BUILDING A WALL
You have created this emotional wall around you, which stops you from sharing things with him. None of you feels excited enough to share any good news. You already know all about his fake reactions and hence feel more satisfied with keeping everything to yourself.
9. BICKERING TOO MUCH OR NOT AT ALL
More often than not, you both find yourself arguing about almost everything. If not that then you both find yourselves never arguing at all; both of you are so drained out that arguing with the other one seems like an exhausting effort for a dead relationship.
If it’s the dead end for your relationship, you will find your mind often loitering around negative thoughts and questioning yourself if this relationship has anything left. So, make a decision and move on.
