Five Easy Ways To Organize Your Wardrobe

How To Organize Your Wardrobe?

At this point in our ‘fashion-obsessed’ cultures, the only thing that suffers the most is our wardrobe. Yes, collecting garments can be a hobby for most of us, but overdoing anything is harmful, isn’t it? There’s only one way to dump this bad fashion habit – DECLUTTER. Here’s how you can organize your wardrobe and give the space it yearns for.

1. Get rid of damaged and stained pieces

You all have that pair of blue jeans with a pen stain on it or a statement blingy top whose sequins are falling off. You don’t wear them anymore (due to obvious reasons), but you’re still not ready to throw them away. Holding onto such pieces is of no use.

2. Don’t cling on to pieces that don’t fit you anymore

There is always an undying hope for you to lose those extra few pounds someday in the near future. But clinging on to pieces that are 2-3 sizes smaller is the worst thing you can ever do to your wardrobe. You unnecessarily load your wardrobe with pieces that don’t fit you anymore while hoping of fitting into them one fine day. As harsh as it may sound, you seriously need to let go of such pieces.

3. Stick to the ‘Rule of One’ and do not buy similar pieces

Avoid clone clothing. We know that every white shirt is different in its way, but why keep 5 of those when you can try different colors and patterns too. Spare your wardrobe from this horror.

4. Remove seasonal pieces and store them smartly

Keeping winter essentials in your wardrobe during summers (or vice-versa) is the dumbest thing you can ever do. If you know you won’t be wearing a certain piece for a few months, there is no point letting it sit in your wardrobe and take up unnecessary space. The best thing to do is to store it in your bed or a storage box.

5. If you haven’t worn a piece for six months, you never will

Lastly, donate the pieces that have been sitting in your wardrobe for months. Surely, you don’t like wearing them now. It’s just that you haven’t realized it yet. Donate them to people who’ll wear them happily. And, if someone is smiling because of you, there’s no better feeling than that.

Make some space and organize your wardrobe.
